Kathleen Valley Portfolio

Mila’s Kathleen Valley asset in Western Australia remains a key pillar of the strategy. Targeting both gold and lithium exposure in Western Australia’s world-renowned Norseman-Wiluna Orogenic Belt, the team has identified multiple mineral targets. Leveraging insights from nearby producers and developers along strike, we are building on this growing body of knowledge to strategically position ourselves to capitalize on the district’s potential.

Multi-Mineral Endowment

  • The Kathleen Valley Gold Project is made up a number of gold targets within the Kathleen Valley licence area. Located adjacent to the Lithium-Tantalum bearing Pegmatite swarm, the knowledge learnt from studying both forms of mineral deposit creating collaborative and complementary resource for the team in project development.
  • Results  from  Mila’s  2022  and  2023  exploration  campaigns  yielded  highly promising gold intercepts.
    • Drilled a total of 3103m with an average depth of ~200m, including scout drilling down to a depth of 303m on hole KVRD029
  • The team has focused on testing additional near-surface targets, especially in the northern  areas  of  the  property,  where structural  geology  work  is  providing valuable insights into the controlling mineralisation features.
  • Kathleen Valley Pegmatite Belt has become one of Australia’s most prolific lithium districts, with Liontown Resources Ltd. (“Liontown”) put their own Kathleen Valley Lithium Project into commenced production, one of the world’s largest hard rock lithium mines.
    • Being located in a well established mining region, the operation was put into production by Liontown in mid-2024 and has been able to attracted offtake arrangements with LG, Ford and Tesla.
  • Mila holds the southern ground of the Kathleen Valley Pegmatite field, with samples taken in 2024 indicating both Lithium as well as tin and tantalum of economic interest.
  • The team continue to evaluate the work with the traditional land owners and local stakeholders to unlock the regions potential, whilst protecting cultural and environmental sensitivities.
  • The Kathleen Valley Project hosts small historic workings of copper and other base metals, predominantly in the northern part of the property.
  • With an already established portfolio of targets, the team recognises that achieving the scale necessary for commercial copper production requires a strategic approach. As such, the team are actively assessing all opportunities to unlock the base metal potential within the land package, and evaluating regional known mineralised systems for collaborations that could present strategic value.
